My goal at the end of the school year is to learn how to play this in guitar class. I've just started learning about 3 weeks ago so it seems impossible. I know how to play violin, so that part I could pretty much do by ear. Guitar though? That’s on a whole. ‘Notha. Level.

Just found out this entire post is like contradicting itself. I meant the Yellowcard song haha.

Reason I said T. Swizz first was because that's what we're learning in the class. *Shudders*

I hope there are some cute girls in that class!

In a school with a girl to boy ratio of 3:1- yes. Yes there are.

Hmm. Drop D and a whole lotta strumming.
You'll have this nailed by Christmas.

No idea what that even means! I can do standard tuning but I don't know what "dropped" tuning means.
Unless it just means lowering the pitch of the string.

It's lowering the pitch on a string, if I recall correctly (e.g drop D is the low E lowered to D).

Having played guitar my entire life, I can assure you that violin is much more challenging. Give it a little time and you'll agree.
